Speaking before the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, Mrs. Arroyo said Labor Secretary Marianito Roque was able to get openings in Sentosa for 5,000 jobs. Drumstick Clutched April 6, 2009 Share April 6, 2009 Well, it's not that Singaporeans doesn't want to work there as lower lvl worker...its juz that the pay is not attractive enuff...but good enuff to lure foreign workers... Drive_carcar Clutched April 7, 2009 Share April 7, 2009 Frankly there's nothing to be concerned about. The available jobs are mostly service jobs which don't pay that well anyway. Further, it's not as if those 5,000 jobs are "reserved" or guarantted for Philipinos. It's just politics double talk that the President there try to show the people how much she has done for them.
