Knocking sound at the rear when turning (Subaru Hatchback)

Hi,

I am posting on the behalf on my friend who owned a 1.6 subaru hatchback.

 

He has a <6 mths hachback, but has knocking sound at the rear when turning either right or left in the third mths. The sound is louder when turning U-turns. Twice he has went to Image @ TPY for checkup, yet the SA is unable to resolved the problem. The SA even ask him to close one eye and accept it as the SA claimed my friend is not the first car which is having this problem...

 

So like if there is any subaru car owners or any other car owners who are/were facing this problem before? And what is being done to rectify the problem?

 

Or is there is good workshop to recommend where I ask my friend to send his car for further checkup...

Please advise.

Maybe you can call him go to autopoint BMS, they are quite specialized in Subaru, but not sure about the new ones, worth a try. Should be at level 3, the shop has lots of rex and other subaru makes there, hard to miss.

Try the other MotorImage service centre at Leng Kee and see if they can trace the problem?

Sorry Diamond2006 to hijack ur tread. I also facing this problem of knocking sound. But mine is different.... The knocking sound only come when it is hot meaning after brake for a few times. Btw i just changed my rims. But the 1st 2 days no problem. The sound only came on the 3rd. Any Bro or Sis can help???? Thanks!

The worst place to go back to fix the problem is Mot#r Ima#e. Their service sucks big time. Like what one of the bro here suggested, go to BMS would be a good choice.

Less than 6 months still pushes away problems!! How can the SA says "to close one eye"

Car still warranty right? Go and bang table and talk in slightly loud voice..

Unless your friend did changed or mod other parts than it's a different story altogether..

I agreed 3 party workshops knows Subaru better than MI???

Yes, My friend 's ride is stock...

 

Ok I will ask him to send LengKee SC for second opinion first...if still cannot, will be going to autopoint BMS straight.

 

BTW can I have the actual address for autopoint BMS?
