I only watch F1 for the sports channel, so did not subscribe when upgraded to digital. Wonder why SH lump all the sport channel to one package.

Use this application called Sopcast, which uses peer to peer streaming. you need to have a high speed broadband connection to ensure watching the whole race without loss of frames. Quality is acceptable since it's free. You can hook up to CCTV5 or StarSports channel. Paying over S$100 just to watch F1 is really ridiculous to me. :)

i'm using sopcast too. but any channels on sopcast showing the practice later today? as far as i know i dont think cctv 5 shows practices. not sure about the other china sports channels.

One of the reason why Stahub sucks big time. I'll only watch golf and F1, and I'm not willing to pay the exhorbitant fee for soccer which I have absolutely zero interest in. Since they don't split up the sports channel, I also can't be bothered to subscribe to it.

they are making big $$ from the football channel. i can see that their sports channels cater mostly to football fans. golf and racing are secondary sidelines for SH.

CCTV5 is not showing Spain F1 race but I couldn't find StarSports on Sopcast, can help?

Cos they need the other suckers (i.e. us Formula 1 fans) to subsidise the football watching crowd. /flamesuiton

SOPCAST is fine but it's only showing the chinese Star Sports channel so for a Frenchie like me it really is the last resort if i'm out at friends place with no S.hub then will watch like that.

there use to be an american channel on TVU player that would show great pre race interviews and all but they seem to have disapeared.
