I've seen like hundreds of pple riding Cups with/without helmets in Vietnam from TV..

There are motorcycles everywhere .

Viet wives are known to control their husbands tightly. It's the culture here but those in Hanoi are tighter.

 

Grass always greener on the other side so go in with eyes open. Marrying them usually means the whole family as well and chances are (since SG man like to be view more like a man), there are financial expectations tagged to that hat, ie: you gotta earn that respect.

 

But then, if u see the Viet guys, 19 out of 20 CMI. A lot MCP behaviour at home and very often, in the office. If not, many like to loaf around. The younger generation males is better though.

 

So u see why the Sg guy is sought after...

 

There are also ugly (not exterior-wise) Viet girls, those that try to manipulate you. 1 in 3 marriages (between foreigner working here & Viet girl) do not work out.

 

A lot of sob stories abound. (usually because never do proper due diligence.)

Ah Chou is prettier than many of our local mediacorps "stars" (so-called).

Not sudden, but has been here all along. Just that it's not very common.

 

Same goes for the Thais as well

to be very frank, i feel very sad initially when i watch the youtube featuring on ah chou and her friend arriving at singapore in search of the ideal man to get rid of the poverty experienced back at home. (just imagine, if this happen to our own children flying to another country to be pick and chose by others as bride(s), the feeling is downright 'sad').

 

but anyway, now that the picture show that her husband look decent, i feel happy for her. (even there is no guarantee that it is going to work out) but on surface it look like a blissful marriage. Let be frank about it, even those who had gone on years on courtship and claim that they are god-matched, there is also no sealed guarantee that they will not end up in divorce.

 

lets not use a 'coloured eye' to perceive that all 'mail brides' are only here to gain 'a blue i/c' and subsequently leave th e husband. (probably this is true in case of china nationals, but supposedly we have to be fair to other nationality).
