Red Light Camera query

Hi bros.. I'm a relatively new driver. Last night i drove back home from jurong pt along boon lay way along the left lane. It was red light at the junction at boonlay way and corporation road and I stopped behind a car at the left lane.

 

The red light remained and the green turn left arrow appeared. The car in front of me turned left and i headed forward because i thought that the traffic light turned green as well (when it was still red, which was a very stupid mistake i made, no excuse for that).

 

Is it possible for a red light camera to be active when the green turn left arrow is on together with red light? Is there a red light camera at that particular junction? or anywhere along boon lay way near jurong pt? How long will it take for the letter to reach me if i am caught by the camera?

 

I am in deep regrets for the potential dangers or road hazards I could have caused for this mistake and I will make sure this incident will nvr happen again.

just wait for 2 weeks.... even if ALL the MCF ppl say u are safe, but 2 weeks later, if u receive a letter from TP, you also LL.

Just want to ask, is the flash obvious even in the day? is it two continuous flash or there is an interval?

 

 

its darn obvious even in bright sunlight.

Agreed!Nowadays P plate think they drive like very zai and experienced zoom here zoom there no signal no consideration.

See flash scared and ask here...tsk tsk tsk [furious]

C'mon we were once P-plate Give the guy a break. I'm sure you had charged through red lights many times before.

yap, the blue/white flash is damn obvious even during bright day..

 

sometimes when the camera faulty, will keep flashing too.. then u will see how their flash works..

If i may say so, the two scenarios are slightly different. If one is charging thru a red light just after amber, it is a conscious decision made to take that risk.

 

However in TS case, he did not even know it was a red light....Just happy happy follow only. Sotong blur.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, when you're taking the TP test, running the red lights consitute an immediate failure, so in other words, he should not even get to put the P plate up in his car.

no flash = no photo. TP v efficient on tis: 3-5 days

 

 

2-3 weeks for camera la. They got retrieve film. 3-5 days for cop on the top. And people, just give the guy a break. During my p plate days, i also like him. Thought i beat the light scared like hell. In the end, scare myself only.
