For new applicants, you need to apply it at the HDB branch in person. Cos your records or account will not be in the HDB system. After applying at the branch, you can then apply online for the subsequent renewals.

You mean HDB season parking is it?

No need to apply in person for 1st timer.I applied everything online for the season parking & I am a 1st timer car owner.HDB will send the tag to your house.If you apply to pay for the monthly season parking via GIRO,you'll get some discount.

yup i did everything online. after collecting my car, i didnt register for season parking until 3 or 4 days later (due to some personal reason).

 

best part is i left my car in my hdb carpark (ERP style) from fri to monday evening. I only applied and paid via cc for the season parking on monday afternoon 3pm.

 

By 4 or 5pm, the officer from hdb had called me to confirm my season parking and credit card payment, and when i moved my car out of the car park at 7pm, the ERP barrier in my carpark recognised that i have paid my season parking, and opened the barrier for me. its quite cool.

 

Note: i only paid for season parking on the 4th or 5th of the month, but the system is smart enough not to charge me for fri / sat's parking as well as they fall within the same calendar month.

 

Actually what they did is not difficult as it's just a simple matter of propagating the new IU number of my car to all the relevant HDB carparks. What impressed me is that they processed my payment and settled their backend work within a few hours. thats quite efficient imho.

oh, and i didnt bother to attach on my rfid tag (or maybe hdb didnt send me one) as my carpark uses Erp style barriers. RFID = no use here.

 

helps to keep my windscreen less cluttered as i only have to display my road tax disc.

RFID parking disc replaced the paper disc which had to be changed monthly. All fatimah has to do is to scan the disc and see if you paid for your season parking.
