I really must salute this uncle driver. I was driving on CTE this morning around 10plus. Saw this car hogging the extreme lane at 90km/hr from Outram all the way to exit to SP. (I was behind him at 80kmplus and there was no cars in sight infront of him) I overtook on the middle lane and move infront of him. Not far after Bukit Merah exit, I saw a pair of flashing lights behind his car.

It was an ambulance and it was tailgating him all the way. (Btw, middle lane was free and even there were cars, cars would give way to him as the ambulance was really in a hurry) He just refused to move aside but continued to travel at 90km/hr on the extreme right lane until SP exit. [thumbsdown] After so long, he moved into the middle lane to allow the ambulance to past and after it passed, he cut back into the right lane and continued on at his speed. Before Clementi exit, he decided that he needed to exit and cut 3 lanes to head for the exit without signalling. [thumbsdown][thumbsdown][thumbsdown]

BTW, there was a BIG word called AMBULANCE on the vehicle.

If the ambulance was really in a hurry, it shoud have overtaken the road hogger when the middle lane was free as you described, no?

The ambulance could have overtaken by using the middle lane but if its an emergency case, the veh infornt shld have to give way and besides if ambulance have to overtake vehs during emergency now and then quite dangerous

Uncle travelled at 90km/hr may be right cos speed limit is 90km/hr. But he don't give way to ambulance is wrong, no need worry likely he will kana caught on video from the ambulance liao for not giving way to emergency. This pcs of shxx hope will get it.

Turbocharged

Some of the off-duty ambulance driver are damn b------d.

They will hog the fast lane at expressway even though there isnt any patient onboard (or any emergency).

Most of the driver on the road will give way when they see an ambulance.

How many driver dare to horn them from behind?

The only way is to call the number written on their ambulance and complain.

In the next few minutes, the ambulance will kwai kwai get out of the fast lane.

FYI: The ambulance was rushing towards NUH. All the cars have filtered to the middle lane and left lane was filled with lorries. Furthermore, there were no cars infront of this car on the right lane.

Lets hope this kind of road hogger gets a taste of his own medicine...

Next time when he gets involve in a road accident... hope the ambulance attending to him gets delayed by the same kind of driver like him on the expressway.

according to someone, the uncle is not wrong. He is trying his best to drive at the speed limit.

he gave way eventually may be he saw from the rear mirror his ride kenna being taken picture from the ambulance.

and as he is driving at the speed limit, he is a very safe driver. The speed is so safe that he need not signal and can just cut through all the lanes to exit without causing any danger to others.

eh... its definitely wrong to relate this thread to Gendut! he has his reasons for road hogging k. cos he's a law abiding citizen.

you should have mentioned his nickname more tactfully.

for eg. "G**dut"

or "Gen**t"

The driver should be subject to query and fine.
