Hi All

Anyone encounter the problem I had?

In my last phone bill I was bill for the following

Value Added Services (@Please contact the service provider for enquiries)

Service Description

Ericsson Telecommunication - OpenMobile Services (Tel : 62713468)@

Total No. of Access 2

Amount $12 [shocked]

Called my mobile services provider , they ask me to call the number mention in the bill.

They said I downloaded "something graphic".

Call the number in the bill, got a "voice mail".

I just use my phone for voice and sms call.

Is this a new "cheating" method??

Thanks

Call that number refer to you by your SP, see if they are willing to listen to you and refund else make a complain to CASE. I did sometime early this year, both my SP and the company that provide this service shared the load. I was fully refunded.

the only way to prevent is not to subscribe on tv/internet "free" ringtones/graphics. We all know that its not free.

another prevention is not to open service messages. Disable them in your phone.

1) Do not take part in any contest on your hp

2) Check your bill

3) Keep your bill

For my case, I remembered I did respondd to a contest but that was just 1x. After that I did recieved more of these contest but I did not bother to answer. Questions like where would be the venue for the next WC be held with prizes like XBox360.

I did not checked my bill for a month or two, Then when I checked the next one, I realised every month there is a entry for about $30 ~ $40 charge. I called up the company and they said for every question they send, does not matter you respond or not, you are bill. Ridiculous.

Luckily I was abled to look back at the past bill and with that I went to CASE. Prior to that, the lady at the company I spoke to told me that if I go to CASE no use, so I promptly went to CASE.

Sadly, IDA doesn't not really give much governance on such matters, and telco just pushes things to the vendor and customer.. then but why are they collecting the money on the vendors' behalf..

guess customer are suckers to them
