The dashing-thought of quitting just came when i begin my

daily morning routine walking to start car, decide to

pull out my lighter and thought, i did not smoke since yesterday 7pm.

so why not try if can stop this very stick i'm holding.....

this is how all it started the thought of stopping.

the cost of ciggies will not get me quitting it AT ALL...just maybe smoke lesser.

anyway am determine and focusing on quit it AND not picking it up ANYMORE.

(though sometimes i think smoking is not as harmful that is reported or tested from what i thought) :P

dont go and think about it

dont take time ... dont count number of days that passed by

if you dont think about it, time just flies

before you know it, 1 yr pass

before you know it, 10 yr pass

before you know it, 100 yr pass (oopss.... a bit exaggerate)

but you know what i mean.

my greatest motivator was the red blood tissue.

i never thought about another stick

bcos i was more worried about the result from the MRI and cancer marker test

In Australia in 2002, lung cancer was the third leading cause of death for men, and the sixth most common cause for women. (Compared to other cancer deaths, lung cancer is leading cause for men, and 2nd most common cause of cancer death in women.)

Smoking is a major cause of cancers of the oral cavity, oesophagus and larynx. The use of alcohol

in combination with smoking greatly increases smokers' risk for these cancers. 15

Symptoms of lung cancer may include:

A new cough or a cough that does not go away. Smokers who have a chronic cough from smoking may have a change in how severe their cough is or how much they cough.

Chest, shoulder, or back pain that does not go away and often gets worse with deep breathing.

New wheezing.

Shortness of breath.

Hoarseness.

Coughing up blood or bloody mucus.

Swelling in the neck and face.

Difficulty swallowing.

Weight loss and loss of appetite.

Increasing fatigue and weakness.

Recurring respiratory infections, such as pneumonia.

Clubbing of the fingers and toes. The nails appear to bulge out more than normal.

Lung cancer may spread (metastasize) to other parts of the body. The most common sites are the bones, the brain, the liver, the other lung, the lining of the heart (pericardium), and the adrenal glands. When lung cancer spreads, other symptoms may also occur.

Symptoms of cancer that has spread to the spine or bones may include:

Bone pain.

Weakness or numbness of the arms or legs.

Back pain.

Symptoms of cancer that has spread to the brain may include:

Seizures.

Headaches.

Change in alertness.

Vision changes.

Nausea or vomiting.

Symptoms of cancer that has spread to the liver or lymph nodes may include:

Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice).

Lumps or bumps under the skin or enlarged lymph nodes.

Decreased appetite.

Weight loss.

I would recommend that you do a full medical check up before even talking about jogging and how wonderful life would be after you quit.

some damages cannot be reversed.

Aboden? but most often it's somewhat like HIV .. kena already too late... the Carcinogenics may have altered the cellular characteristics of your tissues. They may turend cancerous already. Depending on how long you have sucked smoke your organs may have deteriorated.

Faster do a check.. i hope you dont kena but if you do better go look in the mirror and spit at yourself and say .. Obiguat neh neh neh poo poo ..at the same time you might wanna go to a dentist and get your mouth flushed cos smoking sure make your oral hygiene out of wack and crappy oral hygiene is linked to heart failure.

Good luck and all the best to your own doings.

My old man smoked FOUR big packs a day (20 sticks per pack) for more than twenty years.

One day, he decided to quit and went cold turkey. He did not touch a single stick from that moment onwards. The best part was at that time, almost all his friends were super heavy smokers.

If he could do it, so can you.

At least it is good to stop now than continue smoking.

"Anything that is consume excessively will cause adverse effects"

Smoking is deemed politically incorrect, given the extensive coverage ....

but so does eating too much...hahahaha!

Good balance is the key to healthy lifestyle...

Know ppl who quit smoking and end up piling on food...

Now got heart probs and cholestrol issues....

Good Luck and all the best in your quest to quit smoking.......
