Nullifi3d 4th Gear March 14, 2009 Share March 14, 2009 You don't really have to HaVE any known major illnesses to just die during a run. Take a look at the majority of the encik in camps and see the rate they puff their ciggies, its all a matter of time.
Mcfguy 1st Gear March 14, 2009 Share March 14, 2009 (edited) Although he was pronouced dead at 9.51am, our investigation shows that he started his run and collapased before 8.30am which is the official working hours of the SAF office and thus, SAF shall not be responsible for this mishap....and we sympathise with the family of the deceased.. Gearoil 1st Gear March 14, 2009 Share March 14, 2009 Why is a 52 yr old guy still in SAF? Shouldn't SAF have retired him long ago. If SAF wants to keep ppl aged 45 and above and they die during their stint, then they'll have to be responsible for it. Same goes to LTA....still allowing aged 70 and above ppl to drive taxi....waiting for these elderly taxi drivers to kill someone...but then LTA says it's NOT their fault! WOSEs are allowed to work till 55, even beyond that, if they convert to the DXO/NUSAF scheme.

(please tell me what the regulars can do if they are forced to retire at 45. Bear in mind that most of them only have pri 6 education and no real world skills) Besides, it is just a morning jog, why blame the SAF for this? He has a high enough rank to sit out the morning run if he's not feeling well so how can you blame the army for this? I'm more concerned about NSFs who are pressured (with peer pressure or punishment) to go beyond their limits.
