Yo bros n sisters

I need help - recently i just tried myself to change a faulty cabin light bulb and fuse blown cigar. After changing, my radio, clock, cabin and boot light dont work! Worse, auto door lock dont work when press brake pedal! Worse still, auto door lock using remote car key cause the system to reset the memory!

Can tell me where did i go wrong? What should i do? Car can work per normal except those mentioned. But i dont like the feeling of unlocked car door will travelling ... tried to manual lock and cant work ... there's the rejection feeling every time depress the door lock manually when engine is running.

I suspect one of the fuse is not working ...

btw, my ride is a kia rio LS 1.4A made in year 2004.

Thx alot!

it pretty normal if u shorted the wire.

it is definitly a burnt fuse. i got that before.

,

the fuse is normally at the bottom of driver side, or at the passenger side glove compartment behind.

then if got manual.. pls read up which one is the cabin light fuse .. rather than u have to individually pull out and see.

last time my cabin fuse blow... i use my heating mirror fuse (which is the same rating 7.5v) to switch over and forget ahhahah..

if u ready dun know.. go any audio shop to get it done... abt less than 5 bucks incl labour normally.

if u DIY.. its abt less $1 for tat fuse.

Neutral Newbie

highly likely that you have blown your fuse,

normally the same fuse is for the radio, cabin and tail lights,

in your case maybe even the wiring to activate your auto door lock.

It's quite easy to change the fuse, normally located like some bros says

near/below the driver steering wheel, for some is behind the coin box,

there should be at least a few spares, namely 10A,15A or 20A U fused

good luck

thx to all the bros! :)

yes, managed to find the culprit - a blown fuse linked to "ROOM" ... 15A fuse ... now i need a few more spares of each rating ... know where to buy them cheap cheap? :) thx alot!

btw, the Cabin light still refuse to light up ... any reason? fuse changed n not blown ... buy new festoon bulb (comes w 6 "highly bright" LEDs - as claimed) but still cant light up ... may be the festoon bulb problem ....
