Bobnah Neutral Newbie March 11, 2009 Share March 11, 2009 Hi guys, Did anyone encounter this problem? Recently, during reversing, the shaft rotate make some obvious noise. Half turn also have this problem, shouldn't be tire rub against something. Moving forward no such problem. Can any expert tell me the problem? Thanks. ↡ Advertisement

Fisheye Neutral Newbie March 12, 2009 Share March 12, 2009 look at both your front wheel well. If there are obvious oil stains all along the wheel well, most probably you've got a torn CV rubber boot. This covers your driveshaft. If you need to change it, its about $150 at Elite AD would probably charge you additional $70 on top of the $150. This is preety common for VAG cars...
