Superb - Shaft cranking noise when reverse

Hi guys,

Did anyone encounter this problem? Recently, during reversing, the shaft rotate make some obvious noise. Half turn also have this problem, shouldn't be tire rub against something. Moving forward no such problem.

Can any expert tell me the problem?

get ur ride hoist up & check the CV boot .....

if ur ride is under warranty, why not bring it back to the AD workshop for them to check ?

Warranty over. If nothing serious, i wait for routine servicing then ask the workshop guy to check.

look at both your front wheel well. If there are obvious oil stains all along the wheel well, most probably you've got a torn CV rubber boot. This covers your driveshaft. If you need to change it, its about $150 at Elite AD would probably charge you additional $70 on top of the $150. This is preety common for VAG cars...

if this is 'THE' problem, not advisable to hold. The cv boot is cheap compared to the cv joint

Yup, Agree with bro conti, change it soon. if not the whole driveshaft needs to be replaced.
