Friendstar Supercharged March 9, 2009 Share March 9, 2009 what ride is urs? if its a china car, i think better don't. cos china cars have temperament. if its a jap or korean ride, go for it. no worries.
Tigershark1976 Turbocharged March 9, 2009 Share March 9, 2009 dun worry, just drive up. If you are afraid, just keep the speed below 90km/hr. From SG to K.L, the distance from return is only 700km- 900km depends whether you go around the city. Long distance driving is actually less stressed compare from city drive (same distance comparison). In fact, its a good chance to run in your car... If you are kiasu, go and get your engine oil replaced using cheap mineral oil like toyota 10w30. the oil will cost u around $17 and labour depends on the workshop. get it change again when you are back to SG. Xmark 1st Gear March 9, 2009 Share March 9, 2009 Why not. Follow the speed limit in NSHW should be ok.
Jamesc Hypersonic March 9, 2009 Share March 9, 2009 The NSH is the best place to run in your car! Highway driving is the least stressful for your engine. Change your engine oil when you get back? Cheaper to do in Msia if you really need to!

Quirky_ster Clutched March 9, 2009 Share March 9, 2009 Still many are confused about run ins.. It's the RPM not the KM/h. So long don't drag at lower gear.. go for it.. cruising at 110-130 at 5th gear will bring the rpm to about 4K which is still within the recommended limit. cruising 90km/h in NSHW will be stressful for driver.. gradually increase the speed and let it pick up the pace.. 120-130 is a good time to check out if your ride have any issues with balancing or alignment. rattling and stuff... My worry for you will be more to the traffic jam at the check point.. idling engine for 1-2hours is not a good thing.

Albeniz Turbocharged March 9, 2009 Share March 9, 2009 Our country is ~50km from edge to edge. We seldom get to travel in the range of hundreds of km. I believe this is no concern for people residing in bigger countries. Immediately after they bought the new cars, I am sure many covered that type of distance in a single trip. Any bros can enlighten on this? Hi there, driving up definitely no problem. why not put it this way. MY also got camrys and they have to travel highways and jams everyday. moreover, yours a toyota, reliability should not be a problem. My practice is to drive gently for my first 1k. after that, i lut like nobody biz. In your case, while in NSHW, suggest you to travel in range of speeds. Eg. 90km/k for sometime, 100kmh, 110kmh and up to your comfort level. still feel dun rev too much before 1k mileage. I heard someone got his car new, and lut all the way to melaka and burnt a gasket. Tat's cos he really rev high. for that, not advisable la. ; > dun worry and have a good trip. your FC maybe even better than the other Camry owners after ur trip.
