Kenmical Clutched March 7, 2009 Share March 7, 2009 For maunal turbo car, is it recommended to go all straight thru (no pussy and no 2nd muffler at all with just a end muffler can)? Will it affect low end badly? ↡ Advertisement
Kyojin 1st Gear March 7, 2009 Share March 7, 2009 yes, if it's turbo, go for straight thru all the way. will not affect low end because exhaust gas is spooling ur turbo, so you don't want a back pressure to build up against the turbines. in fact, go for 3-inches turbo-back. Qr25vet Clutched March 7, 2009 Share March 7, 2009 depends on engine cap leh bro...u cant use a 3-inch exhaust system on a charade GTTI right? [laugh]
Rb26dett Clutched March 7, 2009 Share March 7, 2009 easier alternative , go side plant and get it tuned .
Kenmical Clutched March 7, 2009 Author Share March 7, 2009 I can only go for 2.5inch...using TF035. Will the sound be too overwhelming? Wanna sort out exo system before tuning.

Kenmical Clutched March 7, 2009 Author Share March 7, 2009 Cannot lah...i already midway thru this project if u know wat i meant. Hv started the customisation of the mid section but just wanna be sure before i put it on.
Kyojin 1st Gear March 8, 2009 Share March 8, 2009 who says TF035 can only use 2.5-inch? it's just as long as it isn't too close to the ground... I'm assuming it's a Forester? really depends on how you define loud... I may find it ok, but my passengers think otherwise. you can try straight thru first and if it's too loud, you can always add a "Cherry bomb" glass pack muffler in the mid-pipe. a good think about turbocharged cars is that the turbo already acts as a "pre-muffler"
Kyojin 1st Gear March 8, 2009 Share March 8, 2009 how about a 1.6l NA car?? what exhaust is good?? LTA approved ones 1.6 NA? nothing bigger than 2.25-inch. what exhaust is good? u don't give any info about your car how pple recommend?
Ahbengdriver 6th Gear March 9, 2009 Share March 9, 2009 depends on who normally sits in the car. If all u want is get from one traffic light to next in quickest time then do whatever as recco-ed here. But many aftermarket exos drones and shakes the cabin till u get mygrain. On CNY, my estate got one nieghbour, his visitor came in an Integra whose exos is louder than a Lamboghini. I would have died instantly if I was the driver or gone deaf in minutes. Maybe that driver was already deaf ! I put on an exos but after 2 months decided to remove it n moved back to stock as I thought.....my last name is not hamilton so why the fark do I want all these discomfort for just a bit more speed. I am a regular NSH driver so I need something more civilised.
