No lah... just young people got a lot of free time on their hands nowadays, so think too much, a lot of self-pity, too EMO, etc.

A lot of people can pass thru both local unis - and for some, not once but twice, so after grad came back for more :D Sometimes studying while juggling a full-time job and family...

If cannot handle just academic stress while still young and single, how to handle the stress of working life, with family thrown in?

Maybe make them go through NS would help...

I was serving my NS in mid 1970's at Jalan Bahar Armour Brigade. Whenever I wanted to go to my girlfriend's house in the evening then, I had to walk to Jalan Bahar Road to catch bus no 175 which is near to Nanyang Uni (now known as NTU).

Even during then, there were rumours that certain areas in Nanyang Uni were haunted. As we had to report back to camp before 12.00 midnight and the road to the camp was dark and deserted, I walked very fast as I could feel ghost pimples all the time.

Turbocharged

The campus is located at the extreme end of Singapore.

If one is feeling stressed or depressed, there are very few places the person could go to for relaxation.

A man has been found dead by his friends in his apartment unit within the Nanyang Technological University campus.

The next person taking over the apartment ho seh liao. Rental will be cheaper but the catch will be an invited guest with tongue long, long.

comparing ntu and nus, ntu is definitely more obscure, quieter, and eerier. Maybe because it's so far out. SMU feels the best, followed by SIM, then NUS. and coincidentally, NTU is not far from lim chu kang.

Neutral Newbie

Fyi, committing suicide is quite common in big campus like NTU or NUS. Most cases r wrapped up n nt reported unless there is no way to cover liao.

I used to work in one of the campus...my close female collik had double suicide, cut her wrist n hanged herself, not reported in the news...happened abt 7yrs bk when I was preggie...

Everyday, she wld take us she wan end her life...we comforted her...oso no use....haizzzz....

This project officer's death is somehow connected to the death of the Chinese Indo student who supposedly "murdered" his professor. This case quite intriguing. By the way, there is another alleged suicide case which happened in NUS recently also. [sweatdrop]

Suicide is so common that many cases went unreported.

My take is life is precious. No matter how bad the situation you think you are facing now, it will come to past. Hang on! Things WILL get better.
