A man has been found dead by his friends in his apartment unit within the Nanyang Technological University campus.

The 25 year old, who's not a Singaporean, is believed to have committed suicide.

His body was discovered at around 10.30 last night.

An NTU spokesperson said the university's support systems have swung into action to ensure that those who found the body are not traumatised.

As for his flatmates, NTU has found temporary accommodation for them.

The man worked as a Infocomm Project Officer in the university.

His apartment unit is located at Nanyang Heights, where staff and graduate students reside.

When 938LIVE visited the area shortly after midnight, there were hardly any signs of disturbance.

Investigations are underway.

If confirmed, this would make it NTU's second alleged suicide case in less than a week.

Last Monday, a 21-year-old Indonesian undergraduate slit his wrists and fell to his death after allegedly stabbing his professor in campus.

might be unnerving for future students to stay in these apartments

NTU can introduce new degree course on paranormal studies and use those dead students as reference for spiritual contacts since they died there.

After graduation can work as certified mediums and tung-kees.

Supersonic

Makes you wonder if FTs are actually screened for their mental stability....

If they willingly want to come and live here, that already show that they're a little crazy.

Heard about it.

Getting more and more stressful nowadays. [sweatdrop]

No lah... just young people got a lot of free time on their hands nowadays, so think too much, a lot of self-pity, too EMO, etc.

A lot of people can pass thru both local unis - and for some, not once but twice, so after grad came back for more :D Sometimes studying while juggling a full-time job and family...

If cannot handle just academic stress while still young and single, how to handle the stress of working life, with family thrown in?
