BKE towards Woodlands -SLE Exit Sealed (050309, 2245 hrs)

was on my way home on BKE towards woodlands when i saw on EMAS that the SLE exit was sealed off.

 

detoured out by KJE exited woodlands exit and rejoined SLE at the turf club.

 

Saw a huge crane there. couldn't see clearly as it was raining heavily.

 

anyone knows what happened?

 

also, on my way from turf club to SLE, saw a car being hit in the read by a fallen tree branch.

No la ... a snail skidded and needed a crane to pick it up send to Jacks Place to make baked escargot

saw a v v heavy vehicle overturned...was there during evening time..1800hrs or so...at that point of time still got 1 more lane at bke exit to sle...think after that cloe to tow away..

this exit always got some joker cutting in from the right. the KJE / BKE exit also.

a long vehicle with container apparently lost control near end of bend and flipped, smashed up fences and guardrails...quite bad since 1800+ need crane lift upright

no wonder... saw it at about 1830. exited from mandai and went around, rejoined sle from yishun side.

I went pass there at 2am++ just now.

 

A portion of the barrier was badly damaged and the whole stretch of the barrier was rooted. I guess something heavy or high on impact must have hit that thingy.

Well, the bill for repairing these will certainly send buckets of cold sweat to the one responsible........
