Itsec 2nd Gear December 1, 2010 Share December 1, 2010 I have used evo595 previously... I'm a newbie to this forum... Pls forgive me if I offend anybody... I'm goin to share my experience with the set of tyres... At 1st, like many others tot the tyres were very gd... But after using it for sometime, the thread was like never ending... 1 fine mild rainy day... I was driving along Sle toward woodlands... I took the exit at yishun... As I was goin up the "bridge", there was a series of bands... I was traveling the most 50km... As I was traveling along the 1st band, I felt the car going off sideway and I hit the side wall of the bridge... U know wat? I went spinning 720 degree before comin to a stop... My piece of advise... The tyres can only last u for the most 20k... Anymore den tat pls change it... I rem I only rotated the tyres twice... So the milage is the most 20+k... oh.. u are the next victim of this tire.... my kakis buang his ride... side skit.. hit the barrier...lost his bumper... and 1 side of the headlamps

Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 For your reading pleasure: http://www.federaltire.com/en/html/pdetail...ine=1&ID=2# Tread pattern looks good for fast cornering and quiet. Road adhersion (FC/braking distance/acceleration may not be impressive)
Beehive3783 Turbocharged December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 Tread pattern looks good for fast cornering and quiet. Road adhersion (FC/braking distance/acceleration may not be impressive) It can do fast cornering, but it's certainly not quiet. And it doesn't like water puddles. Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 It can do fast cornering, but it's certainly not quiet. And it doesn't like water puddles. I seldom need to corner fast, so such tire not so useful. Good road adhersion tire are more user-friendly (not tyreshop friendly)
Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 Anyone tried this tyre before? How is it? Perhaps this will give a more accurate idea on the tire performance: Find a straight flat level road of suitable length Drive to 90km/h when there is no rain/traffic at night. Apply emergency braking, and note the distance the car needs to stop (90-0km/h). The car should also brake in a straight line until it stopped without driver's help. If distance about the same as the car manufacturer's specification, the tire are up to the roadworthiness standard. Also, how is their 595 RS semi slick? Thanks. King 1st Gear December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 so2 and so3 is hard side wall so when one drive, one can feel the road more. and if the tire is gripy, the feeling is shiok. 595 hard side wall but not enough grip. i think this is bad for the tire! that why ad07 onward and all new potzena all sidewall not so hard. even PS2 side wall is not so hard at all. Zappy 1st Gear December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 Mine personal review on 595 EVO. Have changed to this brand 3 months back, no complain in the pricing ~~~it's 95 per piece for 16. Braking in wet and dry are safe in normal speed, only thing it is noisy. Initially, tot the tires are from Taiwan, but confirmed these are European tires. the side wall are stiffer, but the plus~~~ it does provided a good protection for the rim. Gkscarmart Neutral Newbie December 2, 2010 Share December 2, 2010 I am currently using Federal RPM 215/45/17. so far so good. Quite satisfied. But seldom hear pple talk about this tyre. Not sure why. Pricing I am not sure as I got them together when I bought a set of 2nd hand rim from another driver.

Mockngbrd Supersonic January 11, 2011 Share January 11, 2011 (edited) Calling all 595EVO users, may I have your attention please.. This is a very scary tire. The thread might still look good, but damage may be occurring elsewhere. This tear was found on the insides of the tire which I never spotted. So please check your 595s very carefully on your next service. You might spot something that you have missed out. And that's it, no more Federals for me for at least the next few years, and I now understand the so-called horror stories some bro posted about in this thread. I guess I just contributed to the horror stories. Ah... another dis-satisfied user. welcome to the club. Happened on mine last time too, it was crumbling on the insides. Inside as in INSIDE the tyre when u can see only when u remove the tyres off the rim seriously, just top up abit of $$$ can u can get decent Hankooks. Or at least decent by my standards, so far i have had Falkens(sux), PS2s(zomg good but zomg price), F1 Assyms (best value for $$$ imo) and now Hankookoo V12s (Great value for $$$ too). Federals are s--t. I have a friend sold away his set of 4 after a few weeks on Federals. They are nice and grippy when u first get them but after a while, rubber seems to harden or something. The breakaway point on the Federals are just not progressive, one second u have full grip, another second it just breaks traction. but made in europe was imprinted on the tires Made in europe or "Designed" in europe?
