A/C experts: Advisable to get System 4 Aircon?

Need advise. Izzit advisable to get a System 4 (3rm x 9000BTU + 1 Hall x 18000BTU) or a System 3 for the rooms + System 1 for the hall? The former is cheaper, i think. I'm a lite user. Concerns are the longevity of the compressor if one kaputz, whole a/c system down and would it struggle to cool the hall? (macam 7-seater MPV, usually more sluggish)

You gotta see if the compressor can churn out what you expect to use.

 

36000BTU would be sufficient to support 2 rooms+hall

If seldom use for the hall, I guess System 3 + 1 would be more cost efficient?

Try asking those air-con salesman, see what their advice is.

My extg a/c is non-inverter and was advised by the a/c fella that i hv to use the same if i wanna keep the extg condo concealed piping due to the diff kinda gas which will cause excessive condensation otherwise. The shop recommended Daikin System 4 but made in Thailand. Used Daikin b4 and it was excellent but tink it was made in jeepun. Dunno if tomyum one can make it ot not?

I think it depends on your usage pattern. I have a system 4 with 1 compressor as I had never turn on all units at one go. It is usually the hall + 1 room max for day/night. Sleeping time max is 2 rooms on. But if you on all 4 together, then the cooling is much slower as the 1 compressor"s BTU is insufficient.

Do you stay in a new type HDB flat with the ledge outside the MBR (Master Bedroom)? If so then you can choose between the system 3 + system 1 option or the system 4...

 

If not, then you only have the system 4 option...

I'll choose S3 for rooms + S1 for the hall. Total 2 compressors
