New Savvy AMT Owner - Advice Needed

Just helped my friend just took over a <1yr old used Savvy AMT OPC and would like to check on the following items..

1) The previous owner only went for 1k servicing, so now we planning to bring it in for 2nd servicing. Does Proton provide free 2nd & 3rd servicing? if no, how much it usually cost? they allow to bring own engine oil?

2) Where to buy Savvy spare parts at good price in Singapore? stuff like oil filter and air filter?

Any advice will be appreciated.. [wave]

You can gave a call to Proton to check on the no of free servicing based on your car plate.

Else have it done at any workshop in S'pore or Best/cheaper in JB in your next JB trip.

Went for a ride on NSH with the Savvy over the weekend and am impressed (must credit the 1.2l renault engine, lotus tuned handling & falken 912 tyres).. went up to 130km/h (~4k rpm) and still feels good.. no floaty or strained feeling.. luckily did not push further cos later saw some cars being blocked and summon by TP.. [:p]

in fact, think feels better at 130km/h than my accent 1.3m with GR80 tyres.. <_<

If u're on the AMT version.. can switch to 'D'rive mode.. then no need shift gear manually..

5th Gear took a test with the Savvy and load 3 oversize angmos excluding the driver by driving up the steepest terrain in UK and praised its performance.

ok lah, but that was in comparison against 2 smaller cars.. [cool]

The 3 has similar power to weight ratio and pricing so Savvy didn't have much advantage. The smallest only have 2 seats so I deem it is a fair comparsion.

i'm an owner of savvy but manual, reason for choosing this car.

was the FC and smoothness of driving, really enjoyed driving it.

would like to ask if anyone know any reliable jb workshop?

would like to send for some check up although the car just passed vicom and dealer giving me a free servicing on 15k or any time that i desired.

but just want to rest assured, after all, its a 2nd hand ride

hi,

Have u tried sending your car to Proton service centre in JB? For me I'm driving a Perodua Kenari and due to steep service charges and bad experience with local agent svc ctr, I send my car to JB svc ctr. Due to the xchange rate,I pay half of wat I'm paying locally. Best part is , over at JB side, they honour the warranty and furthermore, they are very experienced with the car as my car model has been in m'sia for quite sometime. Most perodua owners, be it driving kelisa , kenari svc their cars in m'sia. Just my 2 cents.
