it is bcos of recession la...ppl no go out...so carpark full nia...hahahha

How you explain ppl no go out when this and that expressways jam even late at nite.

Real recession was in 1985/1986. When I got my new car in Nov 1985, the year to date cars sold 800+ only. Petrol dropped from dollar plus to 80 cents and roads were pleaant to drive.

don't understand y some guys complain against the lorries and commercial vehicles...

instead of them parking a car there, they park their vans/lorries there. isn't it the same as car owners?

most own a flat there and they have the right to buy season parking and pay for it and park their lorry. just like any car owner buying a lot for their precious car...

Yesterday night when I returned home at ard 1.30am, my basement carpark was aready 110% full. All lots were taken and there were aready 10 to 20 cars parking at undesignated lots (needs alot of creativity!) hence park at some double yellow line not affecting others and tio a $50 hong bao this morning! this is happening more and more frequent. even with MSCP, you might have to park all the way up the roof, which means higher season parking and worse off FC coz your car need to climb more.

then there's the suspension and drive shaft issue when you drive up and down on a daily basis for a prolong period of time.

Buy landed if possible coz even Condo's carpark can be full

All complain car parks full, road jams, mrt pack, etc. So where is the recession?

it's because the cars are grounded, so can't travel coz petrol expensive..

then all start to take MRT, so jam as well.

I also see a lot of queues at shopping centers, esp isetan supermarket coz all queuing to eat sample..

Take note, it's eating sample, not sampling.. [laugh]

I agree with you, save $$ is priority. but my carpark is very limited already. Recent years, it become a nitemare after clubbing from weekend, no carpark slot avail for me! [shakehead][thumbsdown]

driving your car on the road also wears off your tyres, brakes etc etc etc

so u better dont drive and just park your car under shelter 24/7

that's like telling everyone not to live coz they die eventually. drive and don't drive are different context.

driving at optimum level vs not driving...

Guess it is a common sight of insufficient HDB parking lots in SG. Just couple of days ago, witnessed a fatimah issuing a summon to a vehicle parked at side of the carpark. The carpark is usually full by 9pm. The driver rushed to his vehicle and plead to the fatimah but to no avail and was shooed off instead. [shakehead]

My house there, if you are season ticket holder, and u have no lots, u can just anyhow park, in fact everyone does that... and the fatimahs used to issue summons. But we appealed (i m sure its not just me) and succeeded.. From then on, season ticket holders can anyhow park when it is full and will not tio fine.
