Ahtong 1st Gear February 17, 2009 Share February 17, 2009 Does anyone know if there are any big open empty spaces left in Singapore that are devoid of people? Before Changi Naval Base was built, there was one such patch of land next to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. I need someplace to be alone and contemplate. ↡ Advertisement

Ahtong 1st Gear February 17, 2009 Author Share February 17, 2009 I just want to be alone for a while. Singapore is such an overpopulated place everywhere is jammed packed with people and there is no privacy anymore. Even when I am in my Fortress of Solitude (aka the jamban) I can still hear the neighbours. This is why I miss the former reclaimed land at Changi. If you go in deep enough, there is nothing but open sandy space in every direction. The bright blue sky is like a dome overhead and the horizon stretches from end to end. It is just me, myself and the maker if you know what I mean. Fort Road next to the ECP is quite lonely but there seems to be "Backdoor Bandits" lurking around. Yipsy1 Neutral Newbie February 17, 2009 Share February 17, 2009 Upper Peirce Reservoir. Head towards the walking path that separates Lower and Upper Peirce Reservior. Green patch of grass the size of 3 football fields. Peace and quiet. Can fly kite and many other things. Can do lots of soul searching as there is not a single soul during weekdays. Zenithpool 2nd Gear February 17, 2009 Share February 17, 2009 the beach behind NSRCC. very quiet except once a while a biker will ride pass. if you sit at the wave breaker, u should be far from being disturbed.
Help1 1st Gear February 17, 2009 Share February 17, 2009 hahaha...how can it be peace and quiet when you can do kite flying and many other things... and also so many suggestions to TS but we miss out the main point, that is he/she wants to be alone...meaning no one knows the place and its existence...everyone is suggesting here n there, then it becomes a known place, no longer quiet and peaceful liao....
