Just another rant on cabbie

Just to vent frustration. I was travelling along amk ave10 on right lane and this yellow cab swerved in from the hawker centre cp to my lane out of sudden.

Actually i'm fine with this cos many do that. To avoid hitting this driver, I changed lane to left lane and in front we are approaching a red light. To my horror, he does likewise and bobian i need to jam braked to avoid hitting him. I horn him and then change back to right lane. As usual, he thinks he is in no fault and keep staring at me why I horn him. Hiaz.......That's all, just wanna release stress...! I would think we need to be doubly careful when driving on straight roads in case of any stunts out of the blue. [drivingcar]

Drive safely mates! [flowerface]

Wonder if tecksi driver view is like? Maybe they dun see other cars on the road and can only see would be passengers($$). Totally dun makes sense that they keep to middle or 1st lane when the tecksi is empty.

I can really understand the need to grab passengers. maybe that's why he cut left lane immediately after swerve into right lane.

Do have my fari share of this incident. Dun noe wat's in their mind. I even have incident that the tecksi switch lane from lane 3 to lane 1 to force me off the road when I was crossing the road on foot. I wasn't even taking my sweet time. When he zoom pass me, the tecksi switch back to lane 2???

That's why I sometimes drive with one hand ready to horn. You know the type - lane drifters, some taxies, some commercial vehicles cos they got big big blind spot but still do sudden lane changes.

First on my list of upgrades is always the horn. Stebel the best. Really wakes them up.

the stebel that I have installed is only used less 10 times a year. i only used when bobian and when got such extreme cases. drifters and swervers i can accept, but if u swerve liao, still wanna swerve 2nd time, i tell u that's really [speechless] .

come on la. Taxi driver need passenger to earn a living. just take note when pass by a taxi cos he may looking for passenger.

Believe most of us understand that but not to the extend being reckless and inconsiderate for fellow road users. There r other road user who also act in the same manner but just dat majority of us have the incident with tecksi!

maybe you should drive closer to see if he is going to filter left lane.

if he is not, then you can manouvre to the left before he did it.

if he yes, then you can just stay in your own lane without filtering.

honestly, most of the time horn also no use.

most people who cut into your lane already spotted you coming.

unless it is a very last min actions, when other drivers are not concentrating.

some people just like to horn even though they are so far away, what's the point i understand.
