not always. for example on the 2 lane road, there is a right bend. during the bend, the driver on lane 1 actually can see more of lane 2 on his left wing mirror, am i right to say that?

Sadly...many young drivers now forget simple rule of "keeping within your lane" after they pass their driving test.

Riders are another bunch...(not saying its you hor)...they like to ride inbetween lanes making pple 2nd guess their intentions. Dispatch or delivery riders are another bunch of morons...they like to ride 2 or even 3 abreast of the road and CHAT !!

since you describe that it's a bend, it's likely for most cars to drift out of their lane.. you can observe it on the bend after steven road exit on PIE or at ECP way before the rochor exit sketch towards airport.

frankly, it's to bikers interest to keep a safer distance and practise defensive riding.. esp when they like to keep between vehicles..

bikers are the loser when it come to accidents..

Take care..

How do you know this Jazz Car driver is in MCF ? [speechless]

No, I not sure. I just want to find a corner to throw out my anger about this incident.

This Jazz/Fit driver actually switched back to lane 1 after bypass the front car on lane 1. I didn't take notice of his plate number in detail until I saw his car again at the Bedok North exit traffic light. It was driven by a young chap probably ard 25-28 year old.

Btw the male driver mentioned may not be a P-plater... could be a reckless seasoned driver driving a car with p-plate probably for family members...

Both p-plater and seasoned drivers have a fair share of blame in many accidents...

You are right Bro [nod]

Now even VAN/PICK UP also start to stay in 1st lane liao.

I remember van/pickup the most can use 2nd lane for overtake only......

At times during 7 plus in the morning can even see big commercial bus cheonging down at high speed from Tuas along AYE on Lane 1 [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Not necessarily...

Some drivers are just really afraid of the concrete barriers..

case in point (my own experience) - on sheare's bridge going towards the airport, along the right behind. this teana was on the line for as far as i can see, as i was catching up. when we reached the right bend, she slowly inched into lane 2, when i was beside her. jammed brakes. 5 seconds of horning later, she is still in 1/5 in 2nd lane.. conclusion, simply too afraid to go nearer the concrete divider.

another one, telok blangah viaduct towards vivocity. driver in GD jazz was also 1/5 in lane 2, 4/5 in lane 1. i approached.. quick flash twice. nothing. tap horn. still same. blast horn, also same. all these happened on the straight parts. conclusion, simply afraid of the concrete barrier on the right of lane 1. still die die wanna be on lane 1 tho..

anyway, i always drive with the expectation that everyone will do something stupid. that way i keep my attention and am always(mostly) ready to react. [drivingcar]

Interesting... Now, I would like to see a Jazz do a drifting..... [laugh]

hehe.. joking

on a serious note, yeah.. why lorry and van can travel lane 1?? some more drive 100km/h? how ironic.. when they have a sticker that says 60km/h at the back of their vehicle..

my personal experience is bikes late at night travelling along pie along those bends before toa payoh at high speed will tend to cut from lane 1 to lane 3 or even 4... cars do cut lanes, but usually 1 lane... think never see a car cut from lane 1 to 3 though.... either way, I dun condone cutting lanes when negotiating a bend. If ya car cannot make it, just dun drive so fast over the bend.... die never mind... dun bring others along with ya.

Guess these drivers drive on race circuit too much, following the out in path in a bend....

Hi P-plater male driver

Please be advise that you nearly scare me with your dangerous driving alone the stretch of PIE ( near ToPayoh heading toward airport ) around 9.40pm today. How on earth can u drift from lane 1 to lane 2 at a bend of the expressway . This is damn dangerous considering that my bike is only 1 bike length away from your car .

Please do not drive fast if you can't handle your car well .

BTW, how do you know this Jazz driver you are complaining is reading this? [confused]

I must admit that lots of Jazz/ Fit drivers (especially young driver) are reckless because they like to drive fast thinking their cars are fast (illegal mod like turbo charge and replacement of bigger cc engine). But they have forgotten that they do not possess the necessary skills to handle the car. This young and ignorant drivers just waiting for accident to happen.
