Do u always patronize the shop? The staff told me that they got a regular customer who comes & get what he wants and go. This regular customer don't dare to stay & browse. He may end buying more stuff.

MacDuck 1st Gear February 12, 2009 Share February 12, 2009 Is this a jack stand? Looks expensive. There is a guy in my estate who does simple fluid and oil changes himself, spoke to him several times and he says its not the $$$ but the satisfaction he gets from getting dirty. Looks very dangerous dangerous, he crawls under the car by supporting it with a tiny jack from his boot. [sweatdrop]
Blueegg Clutched February 12, 2009 Share February 12, 2009 That guy should invest in some jack stands. http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=15708041 Much safer if he's gonna stay under the car for any period of time.

Kb27 Supersonic February 12, 2009 Share February 12, 2009 Jack stand is not expensive if you buy from blk 30 Kelantan Lane. There's a hardware shop at the corner. Costs me around $25 for a pair of 2 tons jack stand, if I remember correctly.

How are they used? You still need a jack to lift up the car, then slide the stand underneath it. Then lower the car to rest on it. The stand is height adjustable in steps depending on the design. ↡ Advertisement
