Has car prices hit rock bottom? Good time to upgrade now?

Hi all,

Just wondering if it is a good time to upgrade car now, since prices are so cheap...

Thinking of buying 3 series now.. PML quoted me $108k only for 320i... with 2.8% interest loan.

Seems that prices really dropped so much.. Considering my sis's 523i cost about $200k 3.5 years ago...

But don't know if prices will drop further? I will lose about $10k if I sell my current car.. Either that, I may consider keeping my current car and buy another 1..

Any wise opinion? Before I go down to PML with my cheque book.. Thanks!!!

Cheers

I wonder if PML is clearing stock or what? Last year they gave last minute discount to boost up their sales before the year end.

But generally, I think most car prices all dropped drastically... I'm deciding either RX8 (facelift) $79,800 or 320i $107,800...

6 more months... I have news that market will pick up then... Dunno true or not.

Loss only $10K for exisiting car? Do you mean top-up $10K or you had gotten yourself a good deal previously for your existing car and only loss $10K depreciation driving it for a certain period of time. The problem with many car owners now is existing car also of distress value.

Frankly, if only loss $10K to liquidate my current car, I do not mind changing for a 320i, but I think I will go for a used 320i.
