KPE now has little traffic. When it gets as crowded as CTE, we will have the same problem.

Bcoz we have the same kind of kiasu kiasi drivers.

This might just help delay the onset of those "deadly" ERP gantries!

Nice theory, but it won't work here. Whatever style of road system you have, ERP gantry is guaranteed to corner every road. It's not there bcoz of congestion. It's there simply bcoz you have to pay to use the road.

Avoid traffic jams?

1. Remove ERP gantries in expressways. (For some wierd reasons, until now, all motorist will slow down before entering ERP gantries! You mean you dont have your cashcard ready?? Damn, it works better than your typical speed camera!)

2. Introduce minumum speed of 100km/h on lane 2 and 3 for cars and bikes, and Introduce minimum speed of 120km/h on lane 1 for overtaking and emergency vehicles. (Fine road hoggers to 1 month jail term or SGD 10,000 or both)

3. Reduce expressway exits and entrances (Too many entrance and exits within few kms is not good as it will create havoc when cars entering and exiting expressways have to slow down a lot to filter)

4. Introduce staggered working hours from 7AM to 10AM range to 4PM to 7PM range, so not everyone is rushing for morning and evening rush!

Ants idea wont work on us. Ants are animals without brains and life, we have life... and all humans are specials..

Just my two cents..
