how do u noe how many percent of ur tire threads are left?

 

i always see wen ppl wan to sell their tires they say how many percent of tire threads are left....

 

pls enlighten me.....

so it means ppl juz gauge by seing how deep ur thread is left n say its so n so percent??

 

theres no instrument or machine to calculate it ar?

there's no such thing as an accurate way to measure how much tread is left. when they measure by percentage, it's just estimate.

 

but you can roughly tell how much more tread is left by see how much more meat is there before it hits the wear indicators.
