Will be move to Hillview and my office is in Ang Mo Kio. Will need advise as to which is the best route to go in the morning. How bad is the morning traffic jams along Upper Bukit Timah road into PIE and need to know if there is a jam from PIE into Lornie Road (towards Braddell). Will hit the road at about 8.00am.

Any contribution is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Hillview > BKE > SLE > CTE > AMK (24.6km/24mins)

i think this is the best as you avoids what i think is heavier traffic on all the other routes.

BKE(SLE) direction is low traffic compared to BKE (PIE)

SLE(CTE) traffic also not very heavy until AMK

Hillview > BKE > SLE > CTE > AMK (24.6km/24mins)

If only you exit from Ang Mo Kio Ave 5.

If not,

Hillview > Upper Bukit Timah > PIE > Lornie Road > AMK (17.1km/21mins)

The BKE>SLE>CTE will be the last resort. I know they will be quite clear and they are also quite long.

My colleagues who stays in CCK swears by them... [laugh]

i think this route is good also.

cos BKE join SLE can be quite bad at times.

cos only 2 lanes.

the SLE route before 7am is ok, but after tht tends to get clogged up. The better reoute is using mandai and going down byu lentor, smooth sailing

I personally prefer this route as no ERP... hee.. [thumbsup]

Can also turn right at the mandai cremeterial there to AMK.

See where your working location is nearer to...

I like this route cos firstly wont kena the BKE to SLE exit slow down, secondly this is nearer in terms of distance in my opinion and thirdly after you exit BKE mandai, its all greenery till lentor.

Further if you can like one of the bros take the mandai cremeterial route to enjoy the morning breeze from Seletar reseviour but hopefully not additonal company.

But note from the mandai route back to AMK if you take upper thomson, traffic might be heavy but moving from Tagore area onwards - the place where garage R is located.
