thks for your super fast reply. anyway currently im holding to a 2006Aug Nissan latio. this afternoon i called up a dealer and he quoted 29k for my car. he is very anxious to close the deal and ask me to keep it confidential as it is already a very good deal.

following is the breakdown of my car:

1) COE - 10500

2)Parf - 16800

3) Body value - unknown

do you consider it a good sell?

go to onemotoring, fill up on the deregister for PARF/COE.....the figures quoted subtract the dealer offer will let see how much on top he offer?if the above figures were from onemotoring, the dealer offer 1.7k above paper.

He already gave quite good body value to your 2006 latio. Body value = 29K minus ur paper value.

Bro, i believe the PARF value & COE the TS stated is based on when he bought his car new.

I don't think Latio's OMV is $21K when new?

Let me attempt to work your paper value...correct me if wrong

1) COE - 10500 - Left 7962

2)Parf - 16800 - left 12600

3) Body value - unknown

Paper = 20560 (Approx)

So body got around 8.5k...which in times of such..shld be good...

I will be a bit wary for such a quick and great deal... base on current condition, it's exceptionally good... scout around for a few more quotes, if the diff around 1-2K , then it is ok.. if more than 3K, I will be worry...

go to Sgcarmart and compare the selling price for similar Latio registered ard the same time/ similar mileage. I believe most are selling for about $33-36K. If the dealer take in your car at $29K, they will make a profit of at least $3K.

If you've outstanding loan, u should also check how much you need to pay for full settlement.

It can be relatively convenient to just sell your car to the dealer as it is just one stop shop to get it done. It can be quite a hassle to show it to individuals that consist of a mixture of genuine buyers or just "tyre kickers". Hence, if one feel its worth the while to show to various individual buyers (or just to answer phone inquiries) to gain back the $3K, go for it.

Get the dealer to round up to $30k. That's reasonable unless you wanna go through the hassle of selling the car yourself.

Similar cars in the resale market is listed at abt $34-35k, but the dealers would very likely let it go at $32k + -.

I would just chuck it to the dealer and take the $30k.
