car dealers are still maintaining their profit margin and selling price despite COE nose dived $10K

i understand that selling price does not dropped in line with COE. however, the car price reduction is too little comparing to COE dropped, which will directly affect the selling price in the future

 

Think the insignificant reduction is due to the strong value for Japanese Yen. Japanese Yen has been going strong causing the cost of importing to be high, say for example a 1.8 civic omv used to be about $21K but now its $28K, not forgetting that tax need to be paid base on the OMV... price might seems high but if you go by per year depreciation, it should be lower than before the COE plunged
