I get 12.1% discount by using my SAFRA Card at CALTEX and on top of this discount, I receive a further 2% rebate with a minimum accumulated spend of S$200 at Caltex stations with my HSBC credit card.

Citibank dividend at Esso will give

Station discount = 9%(now) + 3%(Citi rebate) + 5% (Citi dividend) = ~16%+

Correction - the station discount of 9% is gone liao (its up to 31st jan). I juz pumped at esso bukit timah last night and the discount is only 5%.

Ya lor, so it feels like a double price increase for petrol to me.

Just a few days ago, the price went up by 5cents...then shortly after, the extra 4% station discount is removed [bigcry]

Nope, the esso mastercard's 10% discount is inclusive of the station's 5% discount.

Need Platinum or One card to get the 5% discount.

Its not they see you no up. The diff is because Credit Card company charges a higher commision on Platinum vs Gold/classic card, hence can afford to give you more discount.

On another note, after the recenty price hike, I pump $60 at Caltex using the $1 voucher from AA magazine. But when I saw the bill, they actually deducted $3 instead [lipsrsealed] .. anyone know why ?
