Mean76 1st Gear January 30, 2009 Share January 30, 2009 1) Must rotate - Rotate smart. 2) Must rotate - Make sure you have quality players available 3) Must rotate - Make sure you have a bottomless pit of $$$ for players. And if you spent 20Mil on a player and keep him in the reserves .... Fcuk ... better go. (Since you can't even achieve 1-3) Man utd have done it, Chelsea had tried it, Arsenal is doing it ... so why can't Liverpool?? Enoguh said ... the sad, sad story of EPL .... RadX Moderator January 30, 2009 Share January 30, 2009 Liverpool is on the slides ever since after new year ......... This morning draw with Wigan (1-1) saw them going down to 3rd and Chelsea goes to 2nd. All level on points and with Aston Villa just 1 point behind Pool. RB should be retrenched .... ESPN Soccernet report : Liverpool missed the chance to go level on points with Manchester United at the top of the Premier League and slipped to third behind Chelsea on a night to forget for Rafa Benitez. While Chelsea beat Middlesbrough 2-0, Liverpool could only draw 1-1 away to Wigan as Mido scored a debut goal from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute to cancel out Yossi Benayoun's opener. Liverpool's inability to convert possession into goals returned to haunt them as they conceded an 81st-minute equaliser in a damaging 1-1 draw at Wigan. For the fourth successive match, Rafael Benitez's side failed to capitalise on their domination - and had only Yossi Benayoun's 41st-minute effort to show for their efforts. It proved not to be enough when Brazil midfielder Lucas Leiva's senseless, rash challenge on Jason Koumas allowed Mido - signed on loan from Middlesbrough last week - to convert the penalty. With Chelsea beating Middlesbrough, Liverpool dropped to third in the table - two points behind leaders Manchester United, having played one match more, and only one point ahead of fourth-placed Aston Villa. Rafa laments "crazy" second half Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez was at his cryptic best after blaming a "crazy'' second half for his side dropping two points in the 1-1 Barclays Premier League draw at Wigan. "We have lost two points. We were much better in the first half. We had control of the game. We didn't kill the game,'' he said, in a thinly-veiled reference to what he thought went on after the interval. "The second half was a crazy game and when it is a crazy game you cannot control things.'' LIVERPOOL ........................ Valentino Neutral Newbie January 30, 2009 Share January 30, 2009 I hope either Everton or aston villa break into the top 4. These 2 are clubs that i think are run properly by good managers.

Stary Turbocharged January 30, 2009 Share January 30, 2009 To be honest, I think the most successful team so far is Aston Villa. They were nowhere few years ago, and in just 2- 3 years, they are now serious CL contender. The players AV has didn't even cost half of the Liverpool team. It all boils down to a good manager. Taohuaychui Neutral Newbie January 30, 2009 Share January 30, 2009 ESPN commentator lagi best. Not even play in the top league n yet tok until machiam like he v experience like that Paul Masfield i don't think this is a fair comment. a good football pundit or commentator doesn't need to be a good top flight footballer to do an excellent job. jaime reeves is probably one of the best football pundits on ESPN and yet he didn't play in a top league. however, if you refer to shebby singh, then i totally agree with you, he's a bad one but that's not cos he wasn't a top player. likewise with coaches, i really like JM, though i'm a through and through Manutd fan. he really didn't make it as a player but look at him, a top notch and extremely successful coach. Granzon Neutral Newbie January 31, 2009 Share January 31, 2009 Let's hope Steven Gerrard will suddenly go crazy and deliver a one man show again, if not that's it for Liverpool.
Granzon Neutral Newbie February 1, 2009 Share February 1, 2009 Robbie Keane is snubbed again by Benitez! I wondered what Keane has done to deserve this.....He is at worst a decent forward and at best a 15 goal forward you will love to have in the team as the manager. Benitez should not buy him if he just want to use him sparingly. ↡ Advertisement
