Mivec9 1st Gear January 28, 2009 Share January 28, 2009 I wouldn't say it is 100% useless, it does help in some ways in providing sufficient voltage and it takes very little power. I'm thinking how's circuitry like esp when it's fully charge up, it should stop charging. In long run, it should not be draining the electricity as i see majority of those in the ICE group have it for few years! Many brands have evolved, so far, i go for EZ or Pivot. Jamesc Hypersonic January 28, 2009 Share January 28, 2009 I put in grounding at same time as vs and so not sure effect is due to which one but my idle was between 850 and 1k before and after vs/grounding a constant 950. Voltage Stab VS mainly is to minimize varitant or disruption in the frequency of voltage tranmisson, not say totally useless but not really necessary unless you're playing with high end ICE where u wan everything to be perfect. Quirky_ster Clutched January 29, 2009 Share January 29, 2009 finally changed to UTR 2000A and it makes all the sense and difference now. My auto transmission and pick up improves.. After a while, feels like no diff.. so test it out by removing the Vstab, then the car feels soo letharygic... my verdict contradicts others, perhaps they are not using the right Vstab. Yeah also if you look at the technical aspects it does prolong battery life... my stock battery lasted more then 3 years surprised even the mechanic... when i changed battery... and in the end he even bought the same VS as me hahah and said he intends to sell it at his workshop. Byond 1st Gear July 21, 2010 Share July 21, 2010 (edited) dont waste ur money on such products dont expect real significant gains i once saw a black colour ex, stopped at the road side, at CTE, divider enroute to PIE CHANGI... his ride coming out smoke... suspected to be caused by such devices...cos its the left side of the ride not sure whether short circuit or what $300 u go pump V power at the pricing of 98 Ron, u can feel more effect and umph... How was the performance?... bro, you cannot expect $100+ stuff like VS to create miracle. old timers said, it can increase battery life span, better radio reception, etc. i, myself, is using VS since my previous cars till now. i do not know whether it is really good or not cos i always installed immediately when i got my new ride. just so used to it. i think there is no or rather not much effect on performance, perhaps it helps to distribute the power supply evenly. ↡ Advertisement Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
