Yes. Did it some years ago. Very early morning (pick up at the golf course club house?), cold, and ended up in a field with cow dungs.... 😆

Looking at all the timing is just too early.

I used Airbnb in HK, Seoul, Osaka & Tokyo.

I don't feel like a tourist in those cities.

Lol....you're one of those tourists that complain abt other tourists?

I don’t. I do what the local does.

Yeah safety.

When something happens. Usually people just die lah as in the case with flying accidents.

Happened in NZ and in Turkey and some other on off events.

I'm not a fan of heights but not that bad. More of the accident part.

Anyone try the the hot air balloon in Gold Coast?

Managed to find one but they only have sun rise flight. I was looking for sun set.

Looking at their sun rise time of 4.45am in mid Dec, that's mean I need to wake up at 3am+. It is too early for me.

should go try, the fun part is going up and coming down, once up there is all the wow with breathtaking views.

but the fun and challenge is more on setting up, getting the balloon up, next on landing where the staff on site will chase after the balloon with his truck, then try to hold on to it from fall over that might injure the passengers.

I haven't been back to China since i left in 2018.

There was 1 or 2 trip like this back then in not so popular destination.

For National Day Holiday in 2017, i did what local did.  Go for a holiday.

I went to Mongolia where there are no ppl for hundreds of km.

Lol....I still scratch head what a local tourist actually do

One fella once proudly told me he decided to drive the Great Ocean Drive 'like a local' (aka a commute...) towards Geelong rather than from it.

Hope he enjoyed the views of the shrubs or trees instead of the coastline...lol
