Sleepyman Clutched January 21, 2009 Share January 21, 2009 Recently I met my cousins, who are in their mid teens. It was a big family outing, so I had to text my cousins to let them know where are we meeting etc. My replies i get are garbage for eg: "moi ish on moi way riao. sowwy eveybutties who ish waitng for moi. chui noe i don rike to rush de." Is it me or they talk like that now??? ↡ Advertisement

Shull Turbocharged January 21, 2009 Share January 21, 2009 lai..this is called EDMW english..somehow it has become the mainstream electronic spelling for teens nowadays..let me translate to you.. "moi ish on moi way riao. sowwy eveybutties who ish waitng for moi. chui noe i don rike to rush de." Direct translation: Me is on my way liao. sorry everybody who is waiting for me. You know i don't like to rush 'de' Proper English: I am on my way already. Apologies to everyone who is waiting. I don't like to rush, you know

Shull Turbocharged January 21, 2009 Share January 21, 2009 apparently..each country has it's own unique internet language..and usually it's the kids/teens who use it because they don't want their parents to understand what they are typing..
