anyway you would have had that flash test first and pre surgery testing as well to determine the lens correction 

Yes first was the usual Preambree skool ABC /123 numbers test , an eye blow job ... and then put that puck man joy stick like light spots flash response test n then testing a few times that slide test of a “house like picture” in it and another worst one stinging my eyes kinda badly and put a kind of lens stuck to the eyes ... even my white hankie turn yellow ... then some non dilation/ dilation  .... aiyoh .!! .quite a barrage of tests .... then finally main consultant was requested at my behest and I felt assured and said Ok since I know him ...+ financial counseling spent nearly 4 hours there yesterday and damn crowded some more .... parking nearly $7/- 😟..... luckily was able to drive back with all that stuff and was already like 6.30pm 
 

yes must admit my work is in hot sun.... I mean not continuous ... but should be enuff Vit D intake

On the contrary, both diagnosed same same and told me to live with it because they also same same...WTD but to ignore

Not the cat...it was another common old man issue - SYT eye strain syndrome 

mine was only leber two

TTSH and CGH different cluster.

TTSH - under NHG

CGH - under Singhealth

 

Polyclinic also follow the same cluster. Basically, whole SG divided into 3 clusters, East by Singhealth, North by NHG and West by NUHS.

Even you go for yearly eye checkup and yet can suddenly need op on cataract? Only within a year can progress so fast?

for my case, my degree in one eye kept going up and even with the right power I still cannot see well.  

finally went to eye doctor and was told that I have cataracts.

All in all, took about 2 years to resolve the whole thing

Yes that’s what happened , what was supposed to be a routine yearly check up, last visit the doc said it was minor and dismissed as not really needing attn. but pans out differently now ...... no choice ..... like 2 consultants came to see me apart from the one front line doc ..... very sinking feeling

But they share records, so kinda wondering how to get second opinion if they are on the same platform and I feel it will be counterproductive
