Furrynadz 5th Gear January 17, 2009 Share January 17, 2009 I think you are looking for trouble. Nothing better to comment please keep away from this thread. If you want to compare hard plastic, definitely this car is not at the lower end of same price category be it MIJ or MIK cars! The whole dashboard has been very well constructed without any visible gaps. And I do not feel cheap driving this car. i think u are thinking too much or trying too hard to justify ur purchase ↡ Advertisement
Tohto Hypersonic January 17, 2009 Share January 17, 2009 hard plastics = cheaper cost and easier to mfg, but usually burn faster with more toxic emissions, and contribute to lower ncap safety I don't own a Carens. But I look at it at a non-bias approached. You should really go to the show room and take a look at Carens. The dash board are mainly using soft touch plastic, any time much better then a Wish in term of quality and material. I think just because it is a Korean brand and you think it is bad. I agree that for Korea car even in the early 2000, the quality are not so good. But for new car roll out for the past 2 yrs, their quality is as agood or even better than some Japan brand. Once again I don't own a Carens because I don't need a 7 seater. I am driving a MIJ car.

Very wrong on the safety of this Carens. Please see the attached link, look at the number of stars it garnered for NCAP, and how the car hold up during crash test in the video! http://www.safercar.gov/portal/site/saferc...0002fd17898RCRD It is defintely a safe car, not by opinion or mouth but nothing but truth.
