Congratulation to BM (Toyota/Lexus). Volvo seems to be far more popular than Saab. Skoda only 17 for the year. Renault sells better than Citroen.

Not surprising. In fact, I think Toyota will consolidate it's No. 1 position and Honda sales will weaken.

What's surprising is tt Hyundai registered v strong sales in Dec 08 and pip BMW to 6th.

Honda already did very well in year 2008. IMHO, the data shown that there are 2 distinctive groups, one that is willing to pay slightly more to get a better power and stylish looking car. On the other hand, you have another one, that want Japanese reliability but no willing to pay more and don't mind a car that is less appealing in power and look. When you neither have look nor power among the peers, you ended up like the Nissan.

being No.1 not easy. a lot of ppl say altis, camry not good. made in thailand, noisy cabin etc..... jealousy at work or are toyota cars really so bad?
