Pioneer 2DIN HU (FH P6050UB)

I opted out of KAH Motors Alpine 2DIN HU for Jazz, and seriously considering installing a Pioneer 2DIN HU model FH P6050UB. A shop (Audio Concepts) at Defu quoted me $490 inclusive installation. Other shops range from $445 (Far East) to $475 (AutoBacs) inclusive labour. Is this a reasonable good HU? I find the main toggle dial kindof flimsy. Should i also install rear speakers (car only comes with front speakers)

 

Any advicerecommendations are highly welcome. My budget is around $480.

I am on 6050 too. But the single din one. the single din one, sound quality better as it is more for ICE enthusiasts.

as for the double din one, its more for normal listening. dats wad i heard from my ice shop.

 

hmm, sound quality is good. change ur front component speakers too!

 

i paid about 900 for my 6050 single din with front tweeters and component speakers.

 

lastly, 6050 is VERY VERY tunable. heh!

Pioneer Hu are not bad.. warm sounding... but the glossy suface makes it prone to finger print.

 

2 RCA output might restrict ur expansion plan..

Hi Bros, this is the default avante HU, is there any installers here that can recommend for tuning and maybe add tweeters? My virgin journey into ICE. Hope experienced bros can help. Thankss!

i got my HU and speakers installed at J L SIM LIM at Serangoon Gardens.

 

I known him since a kid as i stay in the area. (: Haha. So, just mention AHBOY and he will know its me. If still dunno, say Ahboy with the 2 white cars. Yeaps.

 

He won't anyhow chop carrot one. prices are reasonable, and most imptly, his ICE installation all very good and they do everything swee swee for you.

 

Also, many high end cars go to him. seen porsches, Mark X, BMW, Merc there. haha. (:

 

Just don't go there on weekends. You will just DIE waitin for ur turn. (:
