june to july 2007 jazz? i recommend you to list price at $40800 to $41800. then discount abit to close the deal at a range of $39000 to $40000. you can look for me once you got a buyer. i can help you to do the whole transfer free of charge. from loan application to ownership transfer. cheer! I bought my 07 Jazz from an individual seller last June @ a price of $48K with only a mere 3,000 km on the odometer. The whole transaction was really smooth as we are both sincere in completing it. Took 2 hours to complete paperwork at LTA (Sin Ming) and had my insurance agent to take care of car insurance and loan which took less than a week.

And, yah, I saw his ad on the SGcarmart. Check out the prices there from individual sellers to get a good idea.

Take a look at how much a Jazz of similar age is being sold on SGCarmart by the dealers, take away about $2000-3000 and that's how much the dealers would offer you for the car. You can halve this difference to come to an amicable win-win situation for selling to direct buyer.

I think your figure not very correct. Should be take away $10,000 and not $2,000-$3,000 is what the dealer will offer in today maket.

E.g. I just saw a Jun 07 Honda Jazz posting on the web for $42,600. The same car you take to the dealer they will offer you only about $32k - $33k so thats about 10k difference.

Possibly nowadays it is worth $10k less, the market is bad. Back in 2008, two of my friends sold their cars to dealers, and both appeared on SGCarmart for exactly $3000 more than they sold it for.

Agreed. Nowadays really bad. I went to Kah motor and the agent told me nowadays 99% of the customers who walk in to trade in their cars need to top up quite a lot. Thats y no-one will do trade in already and the only business they have are from first time buyer.

If not wrong...

current paper = 75% of OMV + COE residue value

= approx 10125 + 13600

= approx 23752

How much you want to add on would be the "body value"...40 k would be like 16K above paper....I seriously doubt its attractiveness...

Not really sure in current mkt...16K for the body is sellable or not...

You can put watever amt you want..BUT in the end..can you sell ? Do you want to keep renewing your advert every 3 weeks?

I would recommend you to find a similiar car of similiar yr..then see which one offer the lowest....and either try to match or slight reduction ....so that your car can attract attention and try to close deal from there......

UNLESS your car got add tonnes of kit..enhancement...then different story........but also not very much too...coz potential buyer who likes your kit...when nego...will also tell you...got or no got...no difference...

To sell off ride yourself

Pro - $$ Defintely can be higher than dealer offer (with internet...who needs middleman ??) ,

- From buyer perspective , this offer better assurance for them coz they are able to verify the service record with you directly...coz most dun trust dealer..who are most likely to say "this got do..that got do"..

Con - Probably hassle in term of paper work...coz probably you / buyer not familiar...hence some delay...

- also you might need to drive down couple of time to meet up with potential buyers with no guarantee of deal close...

- You can get them to come over to view...and you will probably spend 30min to 1 hr with each potential buyer who come over to view...over a period...explaining to each one the servicing history..etc...
