Kusje Supersonic January 4, 2009 Share January 4, 2009 Hi folks, I have a watch that was given to me as a present and over the years, the leather strap sort of went kapoot.... I called the distributing agent and was quoted 100+ for a replacement strap. I was wondering if there are other places that can help me replace the strap at a lower cost (obviously it wouldn't be an "original" strap but I can make do without it.) Thanks all. ↡ Advertisement

That's the thing with leather strap watches, you have to change the strap more frequent unlike a metal bracelet watch.
Zenithpool 2nd Gear January 5, 2009 Share January 5, 2009 guess it has to depend what watch is that. no point if end of the day the leather strip cost more then the value of the watch . But then again, if it is sentimental value, then it is priceless

But the cost is closer towards 200$ and I'm loath to spend that sort of money on a watch at the moment. Material good? How do you ascertain if a material is good? Will probably head down tomorrow so I can find out.

Those leather strap which they sell is quite good quality, cos it's comfortable and after wearing it for a long time, the leather doesn't have that smelly smell.
