Kobe Bryant had his Murcielago (changed from manual to auto)for his wife.

With regards to LTA modifying rules, is it illegal, require to submit and inspect or an allowed modification to change state of transmission ?

Hi,

Did you go through the LTA conversion paperwork? Care to share how much in total did you spend for the Auto-to-manual conversion? What reason u gave to LTA for the conversion?

Thanks.

Quote from LTA:

Transmissions or Gearboxes

LTA allows the transmissions to be changed from manual to auto and vice versa. LTA requires the following to be submitted for approval evaluation:

a) Invoice of the proposed transmission from the supplier.

b) Certification from the manufacturer stating that the transmission is suitable for the vehicle.

that time i didn't do any paperwork at all , i changed the transmission was because not long after i brought the car from the second hand dealer the auto transmission spoil . i ask around and was quote $500 , i called the second hand dealer and they try to fix my auto transmission at their own workshop but in the end the transmission still cannot work and they change a old manual transmission for me FOC.when i call the vicom inspection i ask whether it legal to change transmission they just just told me as long as no people complaint about your conversion of transmission they don't bother.
