Judging from ur reply... ERP has certainly made us road savvy.

in time to come, they will tell you that ERP is not for traffic control. it is to enable the LTA to collect more revenue...

same as COE...it is not to control the numbers of cars...merely to increase the stat-board's wealth..

Do you need to pass any gantry to get from Suntec to Funan? Mind sharing the route you took?

i missed the turn and had to make a u-turn after clarke quay.

but then, that is beside the point.

why ERP within ERP??

you cannot like that say... It is to protect our National Interest

alternatively stand for erection lah

then you will either make enough money to feel painless paying or you have the authority to abolish it (of which i will gladly give you a "blow" if you succeed)

Er you don't have to pass through an ERP and make a U-TURN to get from Suntec to Funan. That's very unnecessary.

After exiting Suntec, take the straight road and at the 2nd junction, turn right and enter left to go in Connaught Drive. You can either park there and walk across the Padang to reach Funan or drive through Connaught Drive and turn right to do a U-TURN at the padang which will lead you to the road just in front of Supreme Court. At the junction between padang and the church, turn left and there you will see Adelphi on your left side and Funan on your front.

Might sound confusing but I'm sure many people take this route. And its not hard at all.

As for your question of 'Why ERP within ERP?", I feel it sucks.

Well, LTA feels that too many vehicles are entering the CBD at the wrong places and then crossing within CBD to reach their destination. By splitting into three cordons (Orchard, Bugis-Marina, Raffles Place), hopefully the vehicles will enter CBD closer to their destination.
