Did they explain what happened? I kept trying to push the warranty thing but they insisted it's not covered.

Same experience as you when i could not engage any gear - free play of gear stick.

Car towed back to tan chong to replace gear lever cable.

My car was then 3 yrs plus clocked over 90k km.

our cars have 5 yrs warranty. Try to get it done for free.

Try to ask SA Juraimi for help

Do you have his contact number? Also which service center is he located at?

Called the manager. He explained that actual warranty (which would have covered the repair) is 3 years. Additional 2 years are given by TC for engine gearbox and transmission only. This gear lever cable is not covered in the +2 years.

It may be cheaper then if you replace it by outside workshop

Probably, but I got TC to do it. I needed the car running as it's causing a lot of inconvenience, plus would have to pay and arrange to have it towed elsewhere.

any expert here can recommend me where to fix power steering oil leakage? mine is 2009 2.5L.

Most of your regular workshop can fix.

Teana PS leak from 2 places: 1. usual PS pump & hoses - there are repair kit avail for the PS pump, hoses just replace and 2. PS rack - this is tricky, required the replacement of whole rack (S$1K+++).

Hi Samualsim, have you resolved your power steering leakage as I encountered it yesterday? I realised the power steering is at "Min" and after topping up with STP Power Steering Fluid to "Max", it gone back to "Min" after 5 min drive. my ride is 2009 2.5L. Wanted to gauge what's your repair and the costing. Thanks.

bought one with 2.5L engine 2 years ago. had driven 60000km in total. it performed well overall and the fuel consumption is 7L/100km. the sound is low and the space is comfortable. had a collision once and had to change the water tank. that costed about $8k, which is a pretty high price in china.

Sometime, I normally put free gear when downhill long distance to see other noises, suspension sound and patrol efficiency somewhat, lucky nothing happen so far.

Advise us whether free gear NUTRAL while on DOWNHILL is alright ok based on theory or any technical issues.

By the way, I wanna trade out / sell back window visors complete sets which I did not use after I bought it. my car TEANA 2016 2.0 XL model

Hi there! I'm new to the forums.
I was wondering if anyone has encountered a 2009 Teana VQ35DE navigation system get stuck on the Nissan logo. It just shows the Nissan logo, then it flashes the short logo animation and disappears. Then the Nissan logo shows again. We've tried disconnecting the battery for over 15 minutes and nothing changed. The attachment shows what the nav unit looks like on the back. Would really appreciate your help!

Sadly Tan Chong no longer sells it here.

Teana/Altima has been facelifted 2 times since the last version sold here. The current sharing the 2 litre variable comp turbo engine from qx50 has good reviews in the US.

So many jap cars in this category had gone turbo or gone turbo-again in recent years and we are missing out.

Mazda 6

Nissan Altima

Honda Accord

Subaru Legacy (just released)
