Horizon Auto.... boss' name is Mike.. very friendly chap (has to be since he is new in the business)...

I remember back where they were under a different management and I got my first set of SS595 from there....

I have since switched to GY but decided to go back there last week to get my rotation done. I was surprised they have changed management and Mike was proudly showing the new Federal Tyre range and his prices were pretty reasonable too. [thumbsup]

Any FR for SS595 & 595EVO?

Was quoted 80++ for SS595 195/55/15 and 100++ for 595EVO 195/55/15

Very good value imho

Price apart what's the diff between both tires

How it fair up with other Jap & Kor made?

For ex. AD07, RE01R, RE001,T1R, R1R, RS2, V12EVO etc

Thks for any input

horizon.. ah ho is over there already

Yup... Ah Ho is there. His service is really no horse run.

Can really see that he takes good care of customer's rims during the changing of tyres. Surely it is a bit time consuming during the entire change process. But it's worth to wait.. Met some of other customer from other car forums...all are seriously willing to wait for him. Some of them from Jurong and some from East area... But one word...he has produce a superb services to his customer. Really have to give him two thumbs upz.. [thumbsup][thumbsup]

Hi everyone! i'm running on these federal rs-r for my impreza 225/45/17. Previously running on 595ss, i replaced them at Automotive technology as some kind soul had posted earlier of their location. Service is professional, waiting time is cut short as compared to most places, most importantly.. they use a torque wrench, that's important to me. :)

For the more price-conscious buyer for wheels, i'll recommend the 595 evo as compared to the 595ss.. the Evos have really good turn in response even compared to the rs-r. As for dry grip, the rs-r do need some ample time to get them warmed up, during my previous road sessions that i conducted with some of my mates, the rs-r never seem to fade.. just gets grippier as you get your momentum along your way.

as for the 595 evo, i noticed the notion of it's ability to track your lines, it's good to know if you have a a foresight of the front wheel tracking ability to the road surface. However, it's wet grip aint all fantastic compared to the SS, price wise slightly steeper then the SS but i'll say ts a good tyre to begin with if you bought yourself a decent car and aint a brand whore though. =)

the 595ss made it's name by being the " best bang for buck " UHP tyres. softer side wall, very good threadwear chart. mine lasted me for 35k till i decided to replace them cos my take was that it's heat cycle has reached, though the threads will last me another 10k or so. very good tyres for PG as the tarmac there aint all perfect, so why use a cleaver when a small pocket knife can do the job.

Just my 2 cts. :) hope someone benefitsfrom my observation.
