Meguiar G220EU Dual Action Polisher (240V) @ AutoBacs

For those looking to buy a DA Machine Polisher, i just saw the G220EU from Meguiars selling for $350 at Autobacs. Good thing is that it is 240v so no need transformer...

Does this machine work the same way as portal cable? If it does, will be quite a good buy.

Yes same as the PC. But Hypercoat (Meguiar's dealer) will sell it at a cheaper price.

 

But the price of the pads is quite OK though.

it will be glossier, provided your clearcoat is stilll there. however improper use of this type of machine will cut your clearcoat.

Now Meguiars can recommend to use a DA, with a maroon cutting pad + M105 Ultra Cut Compound (2009 Formula). That's the maximum cut you can get from the machine. So the machine is quite useful, yes. Even that, it's very safe to use this machine.
