Eversman Neutral Newbie May 14, 2009 Share May 14, 2009 Hi guys, i need some help. Just received my Insurance renewal notice and its damn expensive. Like 200+ more then what i paid last year. I'm only 23 years old with 1+ year driving experience. For comprehensive i have to pay $3k+ So right now i'll like to use my Uncle name(51 years old, 30+ years driving experience) to buy insurance for my car. Problem is the car is registered under my name when i bought it last year. So the question is: how do i go about doing it, buying insurance under my Uncle name for a lower premium while able to drive the car myself. Pls advise. Thank you. Silver_blade Turbocharged May 14, 2009 Share May 14, 2009 I don't think you can do that. You may have to transfer the car to his name in order to do that.

Voodooman Supersonic May 14, 2009 Share May 14, 2009 (edited) If everyone does that, I suppose everyone has 50+ year old uncle, then there won't be 20+ year old insured party and everyone will end up paying 3k annual premium. You just have to drive carefully like most of us, earn/accumulate your NCD and get old to enjoy the low premium.
