Never continue because change car... different insurance suit different brands of car. But Tokyo Marine quite okay as they process my balance insurance refund in 3 weeks time when I sell the car. I am now with Mitsui... they have "new for old" scheme like AIG but for 2 years. AIG "new for old" scheme only first year new car. I see many paying higher than 1K of insurance premium. Mostly younger driver, I supposed. It looks like age is catching up. Pay less than 1K, excess $600, comprehensive with AXA. Trd_rg Neutral Newbie February 17, 2009 Share February 17, 2009 ohh.. just to add on to what our money has been paying on insurance does to us? Ppl reverse car bang into us and run away, we cannot claim the other party insurance unless got witness etc etc.. Else claim your own. next renewal shoots up even more.. No matter what Insurance always on upper hand.. Perhaps also becos of some black sheeps raking $$ out of insurance via unorthodox manner?
Hotamp 3rd Gear March 11, 2009 Share March 11, 2009 can anyone advise me on this. My AIG insurance coming up on renewal soon. currently my sunny is 4 yrs old...coming renewal in may will be 5 yrs old. paying $584(exc GST)...comprehensive...excess$450...loss of use...50%NCD+5%COM.....40yrs old..deskjob. from what most are saying, the prenium for this yr were jacked up to ridiculously high amt.....was thinking since my "coe+parf" is abt 20k or less next yr, maybe i should just renew to third party instead of comprehensive. if total wreck then scrape and get back cash ( since govt announce they give back cash for rebate now)...times are bad, need to save abit here and there. thanks for any feedback. Phang79 Neutral Newbie March 12, 2009 Share March 12, 2009 You have already answered your question. Unless you a a reckless or careless driver, third party is enough. ↡ Advertisement
