Apexi Open Pod

Do i need to re-tune my ride after apexi open pod installed?

 

Currently with Unichip Ver Q attached.

Not necessary but if you want to get the most out of it, you will need a retune.

if you intend to do more on your ride then don't go for retuning first. Do up all first. Tune last

Noted. Was thinking to add on to my mz3. Wonder after install will have anything unusual. Will be noise right?

 

or maybe just do a heat shield and do a proper CAI will do.

The induction sound is quite audible and there is noticable low end lag in my case.

You mentioned 'low end lag'... your ride is auto or manual?

Most auto rides gets "low end lag" after installing a open pod airfilter.....

On my car, I don't really notice the lag except that I have not been on the panel filter for a long time so my perception may not be accurate.

 

You probably need to re-adjust how you apply the gas pedal.
